Winning members from the University – Julie Pescod, Transnational Education Team Leader in the International Office at the University. ran the Sunderland City Run Half Marathon for Sunderland Strollers, placed third in the women’s race. Her cousin, Amy Callaghan, Professional Placements Co-ordinator, at the University’s Academic Registry, ran the Sunderland City Run 10K event and also placed third in the women’s race, running for Sunderland Harriers.

Fifty-four staff, students and alumni from the University of Sunderland took part in the Sunderland City Runs event last weekend. As well as personal triumphs the University took on the Sunderland City Run to raise money for the Futures Fund, which supports students and graduates to help them realise their ambitions.
