2027 Event Date Change

The 2027 SG Petch Sunderland City Runs has been re-scheduled to take place one week earlier, on Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th May.

Due to a clash with the new premier league fixtures on the weekend of the the original event date, organisers and the city council have agreed that moving the event a week later will alleviate pressures on city infrastructure and constraints on event set-up.

Old Date: 15-16th May 2027

NEW DATE: 8-9th May

All entries will be automatically transferred to the new date, you do not need to contact us and you will receive further information about the event in due course. If for any reason you are unable to participate on the new date then please read the following options available to you.

All 2027 entrants have been emailed to confirm their entry will be automatically transferred to the new date.

If you are unable to make the new date, would prefer a refund or would like to donate your entry fee to our charity partner, please complete the below form no later than Wednesday 16th September 2027. If we do not hear from you by this date your entry will be transferred to the new date and normal terms and conditions for deferral and cancellation will apply.

Option 2: I am not able to take part on the new date and would like to transfer my entry to another Events of the North event in 2026

Option 3: I am not able to take part on the new date and would like to cancel my entry and receive a refund (excluding processing fees of £2.50)

Option 4: I would like to cancel my place but do not request a refund, and agree to my entry fee (excluding processing fees of £2.50) being donated to the Red Sky Foundation
