“I have had a passion for running as long as I can remember, in particular I love it’s inclusiveness and sense of community.Whether it be road races or muddy obstacle races I am never happier than when I lace up those trainers and ‘get out there’Having raced all over Europe there is no place like home, to be an ambassador for such a great running weekend in my native north east is very special.My daughter Scarlett had her first road race in the big 3k last year and I know us running together has inspired our friends and family to take part this year. I hope to see you all there I’ll be sure to smile!”
